The Mendocino Theatre Company Endowment Fund was established in 2010 with an initial contribution of $20,000, ten thousand dollars each from two separate donors. We plan to build this fund over the years through additional contributions and prudent investments.

A fund such as this is of obvious importance to the long term health of the theater, enabling the Company to develop important programs, grow and, if necessary, smoothly ride out economic downturns.

The Endowment Fund is not in place as a source of ready operating cash. Rather it looks to the long term, using the interest generated by the fund, not the capital to assist operations and capital investment requirements as needed. The Fund is governed by the Board of Directors, subject to a set of formal investment policies.

We invite our constituents and other interested parties to consider the MTC Endowment Fund in your own charitable giving and personal estate planning. More information is available through the MTC office (707-937-2718, email mtc@mcn.org).
